Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract assignment in San Francisco, California. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing and directing occupational therapy services to patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, documentation, and communication. Services are provided under physician orders and in accordance with professional standards of practice.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement occupational therapy interventions and modify plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and home programs
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Adhere to all regulatory, compliance, and facility standards
- Maintain professional conduct and ethical standards at all times

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (where accepted) or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- NBCOT certification required
- Active California Occupational Therapist license
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved vendor)
Additional Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills
- Ability to make independent clinical decisions when appropriate
- Working knowledge of computer systems and documentation software
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Free from the illegal use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
Certifications, Licensure & Registrations
- NBCOT registered
- Active, unrestricted California OT license
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
