Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team for our location based in Knightdale, serving the RDU area. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to safely transport construction materials such as asphalt, borrow material, excavation and stone base to various projects in Raleigh, and surrounding areas and towns. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to navigate diverse routes will ensure timely deliveries and efficient operations. This is an full time hourly position, starting at or before 7am everyday, Mon-Fri, with occasional Saturdays and/or possible nights. Must be flexible and able to work independently.
Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks.
- Load and unload material efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and proper handling procedures.
- Navigate over-the-road (OTR) routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across diverse locations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery records.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before operating the truck.
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to plan routes, update delivery statuses, and adapt to logistical changes efficiently.
Requirements
- 2 years experience
- Class B CDL
- Valid Medical Examiners Certificate
- Clean drug screen
- Must not have any DUIs within the last 5 years
- Must have clean driving record (no major accidents) in the last 3 years
