Civil Construction Superintendent

Position Summary: General Overview:The Civil Construction General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing 4-8 different construction projects. This person will oversee the assigned projects from initiation to close and work with Foreman to ensure quality of work. Ensuring to stay within budget by tracking cost code budgets and hours. This person should be knowledgeable about construction regulations pertaining to OSHA Safety. They should also work well with others, communicate well with others including but not limited to City and District officials, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines and strive to stay within the budget. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee 4–8 civil jobs depending on phase Lead foremen and crews with urgency and structure and ensure all processes are being followed. Enforce safety standards (trenching, traffic control, PPE) Drive QC and ensure first-time inspection pass performance Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material readiness Prevent delays by solving jobsite issues before they become problems Communicate clearly with project management team (remote local) Collect Weekly Foreman Schedules and review schedules weekly to be able to track project hours and budget. Hold preconstruction meetings with Subcontractors and Foreman to provide them with details about a new project. Attending Pre-Construction job walks. Visit project sites and ensure Projects are on schedule, within budget and within Project Timeline. Communicate with the foreman onsite regularly Attend weekly meetings with Project Management Team and be able to provide updates on what's going on at the job sites each week. Able to have difficult conversations with Foreman about issues on site. Consistently visit all sites. Ensure foreman is adhering to OSHA safety laws and regulations and ensure foreman is following through with weekly safety meeting. Oversee the progress of any subcontractors on site to ensure they are working up to schedule. Able to properly document any issues on site and provide updates to CEO/CFO/ Operations Manager as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: Have at least 7 years of civil construction experience. Strong Knowledge on underground utilities and civil flatwork. Uphold a safety first mentality with trenching knowledge. Proven ability to run multiple jobs and lead foreman. Strong communicator, organized and accountable. Knowledge of current rules and regulations related to OSHA Safety. Knowledge of Microsoft computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to solve practical problems and examine a variety of tangible variables. Ability to pass drug test, background investigation. Ability to work legally in the United States. Ability to learn and follow safety instruction from supervisors, safety consultants, and/or OSHA representatives. Ability to attain safety training certificates/cards for equipment specifically but not limited to OSHA 30 hour, and First Aid and CPR. Physical Requirements: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees may be required to drive long distances. Employees are frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms including above the shoulders, climb or balance, stoop; kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception vision is required. Pay Scale: Years of experience must be directly related to a lead role within civil construction and must be complete years and verified from prior place of employment. Salary : $95,000 - $150,000
