What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator — Event Labor Crew position at Frontline Event Labor?
Frontline Event Labor is building a roster of on-call forklift operators to support scheduled load-ins, warehouse operations, and event-day logistics throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.
We’re looking for experienced, safety-focused forklift operators who can assist with equipment moves, staging logistics, and general support for live event production or warehouse tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift safely to move pallets, staging materials, road cases, and equipment
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks
- Support warehouse operations (inventory movement, storage, gear handling)
- Help event crews during load-ins & load-outs when forklift support is needed
- Follow site lead or production manager instructions
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Adhere to OSHA and venue safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification (OSHA or equivalent)
- Experience operating forklifts in warehousing, events, or construction
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor when not driving
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work early mornings or late nights depending on event schedules
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work safely in fast-paced load-in environments
Preferred but not required:
- Experience with live events
- Experience with staging, rigging, or AV gear
- Experience with pallet jacks, reach trucks, or scissor lifts
Work Type:
- On-call / as-needed
- Project-based work depending on upcoming events
- No guaranteed hours
Pay:
$25–$40 per hour depending on experience
Higher rates possible for specialized machinery experience.
