Frontline EMS is currently hiring for IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for DAY and NIGHT SHIFTS! We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Frontline EMS dispatcher. As an integral part of our emergency response system, you will be responsible for receiving and triaging emergency calls, dispatching appropriate units, and coordinating with field personnel to ensure efficient and effective medical assistance. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strong sense of urgency in responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Dispatch Certificate (EMD, ETC, or EMT) - REQUIRED
• Orange County EMT Certification (Optional)
• State of California EMT Certification (Optional)
• National EMT Registry (Optional)
• BLS Healthcare Provider CPR-AED Certification (Required)

Frontline EMS Ambulances are well-stocked with all CDC, State, and County health required personal protective equipment required and recommended to safeguard all field personnel, patients, and the public from the spread of communicable disease.

Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency phone calls and provide phone triage
- Transcribe and type detailed information accurately
- Dispatch appropriate personnel or resources based on the nature of the call
- Utilize medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals
- Analyze situations and make quick decisions to ensure timely response and resolution
- Provide first aid instructions over the phone when necessary
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information System) to locate addresses and determine the most efficient routes for dispatching
- Maintain accurate records of all calls, dispatches, and actions taken

Experience:
- Previous experience in a dispatching role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
- Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions quickly
- Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- First aid certification is beneficial
