Technical Dress Rehearsal Tester

6 month contract

Location: onsite, 700 West Avenue South, La Crosse, WI, 54601

Overview: Mayo Clinic is seeking temporary TDR Testers to support go-live readiness for a large-scale system implementation across Mayo Clinic Health System locations. Testers will validate that approximately 3,445 workstations and peripheral devices, including printers, scanners, and label printers, work correctly in the production environment before the April 2027 go-live. Testers will follow standardized test scripts, document results, and retest devices after issues are fixed. This is a great opportunity for recent college graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in healthcare IT. No prior Epic experience or certifications are required, and full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete Mayo onboarding, system access, and TDR training, and participate in Pilot TDR beginning in November 2026

Test workstations and peripherals at assigned MCHS locations by following step-by-step test scripts

Accurately document test results, failures, and issues in the designated tracking tools

Escalate identified issues to the appropriate technical teams for remediation

Retest devices and workflows after remediation and track issues through resolution

Support Production TDR from December 2026 through April 2027, including the final handoff of open items into go-live readiness processes

Work professionally and respectfully in active clinical and patient care environments

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to follow detailed written instructions consistently

Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills

Ability to travel between MCHS locations and work on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree or coursework in information technology, computer science, or a related field

Familiarity with Windows workstations and common peripherals

Experience in a healthcare or customer-facing environment

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move between departments for extended periods.

Required Education:

High School / GED with four (4) years of experience in project coordination, order fulfillment, or customer service role.

OR

Associate's degree with two (2) years of experience in project coordination, order fulfillment, or customer service role.

OR

Bachelors degree and excellent computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

This is a Contract position based out of La Crosse, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
