Responsibilities
- Develop personalized employment plans by assessing clients’ skills, interests, and goals, ensuring alignment with available job opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with local employers to identify suitable job placements and foster ongoing partnerships.
- Provide one-on-one coaching to clients, including job readiness training, interview preparation, and workplace social skills development.
- Support clients through the entire employment journey—from initial job search to onboarding—offering mentoring and ongoing support.
- Conduct outreach activities to recruit new clients and promote available services within the community.
- Maintain detailed records of client progress, employment outcomes, and employer feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about employment laws, including labor regulations and accommodations for individuals with disabilities or autism, to advocate effectively for clients.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment and labor law as it relates to individuals with disabilities.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism, understanding their unique needs and strengths.
- Background in addiction counseling, social work, teaching, or workforce development is highly valued.
- Strong interviewing skills combined with the ability to mentor and motivate diverse populations.
- Proven success in recruiting, training, and developing individuals for competitive employment settings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, employers, and community partners.
