What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Consultant position at Frontiers International Travel?
Frontiers International Travel is seeking a Luxury International Travel Consultant to join our Elegant Journeys team in Gibsonia, PA.
This role may appeal to several travel-professional-types, examples being:
- Professionals already working in luxury international travel who are looking for greater consistency, a more focused advisory role, or the opportunity to deepen their work in high-end international travel.
- Those working as ICs, where this position offers the opportunity to continue building and managing a book of business without the income volatility associated with commission-based compensation, while operating within a structure that provides stability and support.
- If you are running your own travel business or agency, you may find that the operational responsibilities, accounting, and constant need to manage every aspect of the business take time away from what you actually enjoy. This role allows you to step away from those responsibilities and focus on client relationships and trip design, while leveraging an established brand and infrastructure.
- If you have experience booking international luxury travel, but your current role splits your time among corporate, domestic, and mid-tier work, this is an opportunity to focus more heavily on high-end international travel while continuing to grow your experience and portfolio.
This is a full-time employment role, not an independent contractor or commission-based position. Frontiers provides the infrastructure, brand, and stability. You bring the experience, judgment, and ability to build and manage client relationships, develop business, and execute high-end travel planning from start to finish.
You will work closely with our existing advisors and support staff, supporting existing client relationships while continuing to build your own client portfolio over time. After onboarding to our systems and processes, you will be expected to move quickly into active client management and ongoing business development.
Our goal is straightforward: create an environment where experienced advisors can focus on high-end client work and portfolio growth, while removing the operational burdens and income volatility.
What You Will Do

Handle every aspect of a high-end international booking from initial inquiry through post-travel follow-up, including:
- Client discovery and relationship development

Client Experience Ownership
Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients. Anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and deliver a seamless, polished experience at every stage of the trip.
Collaboration
Work closely with fellow advisors, air specialists, accounting, and support staff to ensure smooth internal execution. Elegant Journeys operates as a team, and strong internal communication is essential.
Business Development & Portfolio Growth
Build and maintain your own book of business over time. Manage incoming inquiries, develop long-term client relationships, and generate repeat and referral business through consistent, high-quality service.
