What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker position at Frontier Roofing Supply?
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to join our company. This role is responsible for delivering roofing materials to job sites, assisting with loading/unloading, and providing excellent customer service to contractors and homeowners. The ideal candidate is reliable, has good driving judgment, and is comfortable handling building materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate delivery vehicles.
- Load and unload roofing materials, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Deliver orders to residential and commercial job sites on schedule.
- Use proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed.
- Perform daily inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Secure loads in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and job site protocols.
- Maintain clean and organized trucks and equipment.
- Provide friendly, professional service at all delivery locations.
- Assist with loading trucks, stocking materials and general yard organization.
- Help with inventory counts and material checks.
- Pull and Prepare orders accurately for pickup or delivery.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks or other material-handling equipment (training available).
- Assist walk-in customers and contractors with loading materials.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Must have a good driving record to be able to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Ability to read delivery paperwork, maps and follow GPS directions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Saturday 7:00 am to 12 noon
(Overtime may be required).
