Warehouse Receiving Associate

Job Summary

The Warehouse Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and accurately recording incoming shipments. This role ensures that all products are accounted for, properly stored, and ready for inventory or distribution while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments from trucks and delivery vehicles
• Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, or invoices
• Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly
• Accurately record received items into inventory systems or logs
• Label, tag, and store products in designated warehouse locations
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Communicate with supervisors and inventory teams regarding shortages or overages
• Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse or receiving experience is a plus, but not required
• Basic math and data entry skills
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents
• Strong attention to detail and organization

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures

Work Schedule

• Full-time
• 8am-5pm, M-F
• No weekends

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
