Job Title: Intermodal Trucking Dispatcher/ Customer Service Representative
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
Looking to fill a position for an experienced and energetic Intermodal Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative to support our year-round operations. The position is responsible for managing and assisting the daily operations of our drivers and company owned trucks. The person must be familiar with all terminal’s operations and scheduling appointments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete oversight of our drivers and daily terminal operations/schedule driver routes
- Working closely with the Office Manager with regards to qualification and hiring of drivers
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and the ability to operate in compliance with these regulations as well as within company guidelines
- Coordinating rates and pricing agreements with customers and vendors
- Managing operation of steady routes; dispatching and scheduling pick-ups and deliveries
- Other duties as required
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of transportation and operations management experience in the trucking industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task various functions simultaneously
- Maintain positive attitude
- Have strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills – good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook
