What are the responsibilities and job description for the Second Shift Custodian position at Frontier Jr.-Sr. High School?
Frontier School Corporation is seeking to fill a Second Shift/Night Custodian Position to begin as soon as possible. Optimal start time ASAP. Custodian will be working as a team to clean parts of Frontier Elementary School as well as Frontier Junior-Senior High School. Job duties/qualifications include:
Duties:
- Daily cleaning duties in classrooms, including sweeping of both carpet and tile floors, cleaning desktops, door handles, windows, removing trash.
- Cleaning and sweeping of hallways and stairways
- Utilize two and four wheel carts to move furniture during cleaning or summer room moves
- Shovel snow, spread ice melt and work on slick surfaces
- Clean restrooms, including sinks, floors, toilets/urinals, and wipe down walls as needed
- Routine and Non-Routine cleaning and special projects
- Clean office areas and commons areas; assist in cleaning of athletic facilities in evenings
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment
- Requisition supplies as needed
- Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stairs and bleachers, and stoop or bend over
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and walk around buildings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Thorough knowledge of cleanliness and proper cleaning methods
- Ability to move furniture for cleaning purposes
- Strong knowledge of materials, equipment and tools used in custodial tasks
- Strong sense of pride in their work and ability to work as a team
- Ability to travel between two schools
- Strong interpersonal communications
Other:
- Position may require some weekend work
- Position will normally work 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
- Position will work first shift during summer hours (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)
- Position will split between Frontier Elementary School and Frontier Junior-Senior High School
Salary : $15 - $18
