Responsibilities
- Install glass products such as windows, doors, mirrors, and custom fixtures with accuracy and attention to detail
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and secure glass components
- Fabricate and modify glass or framing materials as needed for specific project requirements
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or bulky glass panels and framing materials
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency of installations
- Install trim carpentry elements like moldings or framing around glass units for a polished finish
- Complete metal stud framing, door hanging, cabinet installation, fixture mounting, and other related carpentry tasks
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal after each project phase
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while adhering to safety standards
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with glass installation and fabrication techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) used in construction projects
- Familiarity with metal stud framing, fixture installation, door hanging, trim carpentry, and cabinetry work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique
- Knowledge of caulking methods for weatherproofing; experience with construction painting is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting on-site challenges
