What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Technician position at Frontier Development, Inc.?
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our Taos team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our construction projects by coordinating administrative processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring field operations have the documentation and resources needed to stay productive.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with both office and field personnel, and enjoys keeping projects organized and moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process payroll information for accuracy and timely submission.
- Create, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs).
- Submit and manage One Call utility locate requests.
- Maintain project logs and tracking systems, including:
- Purchase Order logs
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA) logs
- Job tracking and production reports
- Equipment and material tracking
- Employee certifications and documentation
- Assist project managers and field supervisors with daily operational support.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure all required documentation is current.
- Track project documentation, permits, inspections, and required compliance paperwork.
- Coordinate communication between the office, field crews, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and operational summaries as needed.
- Support scheduling, document management, and workflow coordination.
- Assist with onboarding paperwork and other operational processes.
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties to support company objectives.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in operations, project coordination, construction administration, or office management preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to learn new software and company systems quickly.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Construction industry experience is preferred but not required.
