Responsibilities
- Perform clothing alterations including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, resizing, and repairing garments for both men's and women's wear
- Consult with customers to understand their alteration needs and provide expert advice on garment adjustments
- Select appropriate fabric materials and stitches based on garment type and customer preferences
- Proven experience in clothing alterations within a fashion retail setting or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric materials
- Ability to perform precise stitching, stitching repairs, and detailed hand sewing work
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about alteration options
