What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Frontier Central School District?
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 10 month 7 hours per day
- Must be stationed in the lifeguard chair and supervise the safety and rescue of swimming participants.
- Set up required equipment for class activity and put away at the end of the day;
- Supervise locker rooms and hallways before and after class;
- Assist in record keeping where necessary;
- Assist in intramural activities with a qualified teacher;
- Supervises, as needed, athletic teams until the coach arrives to assume his/her responsibilities;
- Performs related work as assigned.
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency diploma.
- Must possess a current Lifeguard Training Certification.
- Preferred possession of current First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation cards.
- Must have a basic knowledge of physical education activities.
