Research Technician, Toxicology

Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.
Our Chicago, IL site provides toxicology testing and research laboratory services and specialized pre-clinical studies in support of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products.
Position/Job Summary: The Research Technician plays a key, hands-on role in the conduct of preclinical studies and supports the Study Director to ensure that Sponsor studies are conducted properly and according to FDA guidelines.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Duties include handling, dosing, bleeding, weighing, and observing animals.
- Recording and summarizing data.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills Required:
- Candidates must have a BS degree in animal/veterinary science, biology, or related disciplines.
- The Research Technician I position requires 0-3 years of experience.
- The Research Technician II position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Regulations as well as past experience in the conduct of toxicology studies or animal handling is a plus.
- AALAS accreditation is a plus.
Salary: $24.00-$28.00/hour
