Yard Crew with CDL

Work locally and put your CDL to use! Join Front Street Shipyard as an important member of our yard crew. We are looking for an experienced operator with a CDL for our hydraulic trailers, who will help us move and launch recreational and commercial vessels on the Belfast waterfront.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the department managers on logistics and timeframes for vessel haul-outs and launches
• Exercise extreme care in the operation of all machinery
• Liaise with the equipment manufacturers for troubleshooting and support
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines in the operation of all equipment
• Work as part of a team under the guidance and direction of the Yard Manager
• Create and maintain a maintenance schedule for all equipment
• Understand and implement unique weight, balance, and logistical checks during each haul, launch, or move
• Flexibility to respond quickly to occasional emergency requests that may occur nights or weekends
  
  

Requirements

• Experience in specialized heavy-equipment operation; Cimolai or Marine Travelift operation is a plus
• Demonstrated safety record
• Excellent verbal communication skills
