Looking for an experienced marine painter to join the Front Runner Team
Experience Required
Attention to Detail with a an ability to problem solve, with a willingness for continued education with updates from the industry
Must be proficient in using spray guns and other painting tools. Knowledge of different types of marine coatings
Requirements
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and blast surfaces to remove old coatings and prepare surfaces for primer and finish coats.
- Coating Application: Apply various paints, varnishes, and specialized marine coatings (like anti-corrosive and anti-fouling) using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to meet specific thickness requirements.
- Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for defects and address imperfections to ensure a high-quality, uniform finish.
- Material Management: Select, mix, and handle paints and coatings, ensuring proper application techniques and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Safety and Environment: Follow strict safety guidelines, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure proper handling and disposal of materials to maintain a safe and environmentally compliant work area.
Work Environment
- Demanding and physically challenging, often involving outdoor work in a shipyard.
