Position Overview
Front Porch Media is seeking a highly organized, self-sufficient Project Support Specialist to manage incoming and outgoing equipment, rental operations, support installation teams, and maintain accurate inventory and workflows. This role is critical in ensuring projects run smoothly from procurement through deployment and client support.
The ideal candidate has hands-on AV experience, strong initiative, and the ability to operate independently while coordinating with the installation and purchasing team.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming AV equipment and materials
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and organization of warehouse stock
- Track equipment allocation for projects, rentals, and service calls
- Prep, stage, and label gear for upcoming installations
AV Equipment Handling & Prep
- Build, test, and prep AV systems and components prior to deployment
- Fabricate and terminate cabling (audio, video, network, control)
- Ensure gear is properly configured and ready for field use
- Troubleshoot equipment issues before deployment
Project Coordination
- Work closely with Director of Installation to support project needs
- Coordinate with finance and purchasing to track orders and deliveries
- Assist in managing project gear lists and ensuring completeness
Rental & Client Support
- Manage rental inventory, prep, and returns
- Test and verify rental gear functionality
- Support client needs for rentals and light technical assistance
Operations & Workflow
- Develop and maintain efficient warehouse systems and processes
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies and proactively improve workflows
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment

Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of hands-on experience in AV (installation, live production, or integration)
- Strong understanding of AV signal flow and system workflows
- Experience with cabling (termination, labeling, standards)
- Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant oversight
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Experience with commercial AV systems (video distribution, audio DSP, control systems)
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or tools
- Basic networking knowledge (IP-based AV systems, Dante, etc.)
- Forklift or warehouse experience (not required but a plus)
- AV Certifications: CTS, Dante, Novastar, etc.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move equipment (50 lbs)
- Not afraid of heights
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
- Standing, bending, and moving for extended periods
