Fitness and Aquatic Center Instructor II

Pay Range: $27.65 - $29.00

Part Time, 15 Hours Weekly, Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Summary:

The Fitness/Aquatics Instructor II leads patrons to fitness classes in the centers’ Strength Training room and pool area.

Essential:

Competencies and skills:

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  
  

Credentials:

Essential:

• CPR certificate
• First Aid certificate
• Lifeguard
  
  

Essential:

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:

• Some College in a related field and/or minimum of 1 certification from nationally recognized organization.
  
  

Essential:

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

• 2 years instructor and/or assistant to a fitness or wellness director with prior fitness and/or aquatic programs experience.
  
  

Nonessential:

• Certified Personal Trainer
