Web Designer

Overview
We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in digital and visual design, with expertise in creating engaging, user-friendly websites and digital experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from e-commerce platforms to corporate websites, utilizing cutting-edge tools and technologies. The Web Designer will collaborate closely with developers, marketers, and content creators to deliver visually compelling and highly functional digital solutions that align with brand goals and user needs.

Duties

• Develop and implement creative web designs that enhance user experience, usability, and accessibility across various devices using responsive web design principles.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups utilizing tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, or InVision to visualize concepts for stakeholder review.
• Design engaging graphics, logos, motion graphics, and visual content using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and other graphic design tools.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to translate designs into functional websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), Bootstrap, and other web development technologies.
• Optimize websites for SEO and web analytics using tools like Google Analytics 360 and Adobe Analytics to monitor performance and improve user engagement.
• Maintain existing websites through regular updates, content management system management (WordPress, Drupal), website maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with web accessibility standards.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to refine website layouts and interactions based on data analysis skills and user feedback.
• Implement best practices in information architecture, UI/UX design principles, typography, layout design, and interaction design to create intuitive interfaces.
• Stay current with emerging trends in digital marketing, motion graphics, web development frameworks (Node.js, Redux), and new design tools to continually improve the quality of deliverables.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive web design projects.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; motion graphics skills are a plus.
• Solid understanding of front-end development languages including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), JavaScript (AJAX), PHP; experience with frameworks like Angular or React is desirable.
• Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal for website maintenance.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics tools including Google Analytics 360 and Adobe Analytics.
• Experience with wireframing tools like Balsamiq or Visio; proficiency in prototyping software such as InVision or Adobe XD.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles focusing on usability and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects independently.
• Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail in layout design, typography, visual storytelling, and content organization.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git; familiarity with server-side scripting (Python) or database management (MySQL) is advantageous but not required.
