Estimator / Sr. Estimator (Construction)

Front Line Trace Consulting LLC is seeking an Estimator / Sr. Estimator to join the Design & Construction Team for the New York State Office of General Services (OGS). This position may be based out of any of these upstate NY regional locations: Comstock, Dannemora, Malone, Saranac Lake, Comstock, Rome, Marcy, or Watertown.

Responsibilities:

• Act as liaison between contractors, field personnel, client, executive staff and contract management on issues and complex matters
• Review of orders on contract for contract/procedural compliance
• Manage all orders on contract for projects within the Division of Construction - Region 5
• Estimate and negotiate orders on contract with contractors in accordance with the contract
• Assist with the review of project claims when requested
• Develop cost estimates for project teams

Qualifications:

For Estimator:

• Shall possess, at a minimum, four (4) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or associates degree with 2 years of construction estimating experience
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with construction estimating software - i.e. Means CostWorks
• OSHA 10

For Sr. Estimator:

• Shall possess, at a minimum, six (6) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field with two (2) years of construction estimating experience, OR associates degree with four (4) years of construction estimating experience
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with construction estimating software - i.e. Means CostWorks
• OSHA 10

Pay: $80,000.00 - $109,000.00 per year
