The Role

As the Construction Superintendent, you will be the backbone of our on-site operations. Reporting to the Director of Construction Operations, you will provide direct field supervision and management of all project subcontractors. You will work hand-in-hand with project managers to provide technical solutions and field plans that ensure every project is delivered to a high degree of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Leadership: Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring tasks are properly sequenced and daily goals are met.
• Planning & Scheduling: Assist with construction and site logistical plans while strictly adhering to project timelines.
• Subcontractor Management: Coordinate site activities, provide field management processes, and participate in price negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA, state, and local safety regulations; implement safety training; and ensure a clean, organized, and secure work site.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed daily site logs, provide weekly updates to project managers, and record all schedule and cost changes.
• Problem Solving: Promptly identify and address potential delays, providing effective solutions to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in construction, frequently in supervisory roles.
• Certification: OSHA 30 Hour Certification is required.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is preferred (relevant experience may be substituted).
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in construction methods and materials, including the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in construction management software and BIM.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, on-site role. You must be capable of conducting site visits that involve walking on uneven surfaces and climbing ladders, as well as possessing the visual acuity required for detailed documentation and computer work.
