Industrial Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will support production/quality of product produced by ensuring the efficient operating of packaging and conveyer equipment through daily maintenance and preventative maintenance.

Hours:

• 1st shift is from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm
• OT is about 10 hours a week consistently, and is typically worked after the shift ends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Complete preventive maintenance requirement(s) on motors, gearboxes, conveying systems, packaging, and various other production equipment.
• Troubleshoot various mechanical devices, visually and listening to determine the source of problem.
• Fabricate materials using shop tools (i.e.: welder, brake, plasma, lathe, and other various tools).
• Follow all safety requirements inside and outside of the plant. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• 1-2 years Industrial Maintenance Experience
• Electrical experience a plus
• Proven strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read / comprehend diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturing instructions for equipment and building.
• Ability to operate boom lift, forklifts, skid-steer, hoists, come-along tools, and an assortment of powered hand tools.
• Able to determine system capacity and sizing of parts using various tools (i.e.: caliber, micrometer, tachometer, and other measuring instruments).

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Work at elevated levels of 40 to 200 feet
• Bend, push/pull, squat, reach, grip, grab, and hold various products, packaging and tools
• Perform repetitive motions for assigned tasks
• Work in various temperatures including extreme heat, humidity and cold
• Work in an environment containing dust and potential allergens, and smells
• Stand for duration of shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
