What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Coordinator position at Froling Energy?
Froling Energy, a leader in the installation and service of commercial biomass boiler systems in our region, is seeking a qualified individual to organize our Service Department.
Are you a reliable, self-motivated individual who can work independently while effectively organizing, scheduling, and communicating with both customers and service technicians? The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a basic understanding of commercial and residential boiler systems, and be comfortable using computer programs, including Google Workspace. He or She should be willing to learn our Field Service Management and bookkeeping software, Zoho.
Service Coordination duties include (80% of job):
- Manage incoming service calls and coordinate technician schedules
- Dispatch service technicians
- Order, track, and allocate parts; coordinate with the distribution team to ensure proper use, return, and billing
- Ensure all materials for open jobs are identified and ordered
- Utilize FSM software to manage service operations and billing
- Communicate with clients, provide updates, and develop service estimates as needed
- Prepare and process invoices for service work, parts, and dried chip deliveries
- Track and calculate green chip deliveries and submit invoicing to the bookkeeper
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with customers when invoices are overdue
- Assist Service manager with service planning and estimating
- Manage registration and compliance for all fleet vehicles
Skills Needed:
- Effective, pleasant communication by phone and email
- Excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with Google workspace
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good technology skills, willing to learn
- Mechanical knowledge of heating systems EXTREMELY helpful
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
