Gift Shop - Shipping and Operations

Frog & Toad is a charming gift shop serving Rhode Island for over 20 years. We are an independent, neighborhood business with product categories ranging from tabletop to jewelry, women's apparel and children's toys.
We take pride in our merchandise and are excited to serve everyone who comes through our doors. We strive to create a welcoming environment that builds community, encourages creativity and fosters collaboration.

We are currently hiring a full time Teammate to help manage our order fulfillment and shipping operations as well as assist with day to day operations and provide excellent customer service in a brick & mortar retail environment. Potential duties could be expanded (or refined) to include product photography and e-commerce.

Applicants with a background in shipping operations a plus, but those with experience in retail sales and/or food service work also considered. Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Fulfilling e-commerce orders, packing and shipping.

Answering questions in a courteous and timely manner via email, phone and in person.

Managing orders, returns and shipment tracking as well as maintaining necessary stock of shipping supplies.

Performing detailed work in an accurate manner by using a cash register to ring up sales, receive cash and credit card payments and make change.

Receiving and processing new product, inventory management and assist with morning set up and evening closing.

Maintains standards of cleanliness, stocking floor and keeping back stock organized.

Able to work independently and creatively.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Applicants might have previous shipping and inventory management experience, strong telephone and personal communications skills verbal and written.

Will have a weekly determined schedule.

Good cooperation, people skills and work as a team member.

Ability to multitask, and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Be dependable and punctual.

Able to stand and walk for long periods of time as well as lift up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis.

Good base knowledge of POS, shipping and inventory management software.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have high school degree or equivalent.

Work experience in customer service is a must.
