Compensation
Training at $17.00-$18.00/hr (up to first 20 work days)
Advances to between $18.00-$22.00/hr following successful first review
Schedule:
Four to Five Full Days per Week. Minimum of 40hrs/week with more hours available.
The Farm is currently Open Monday - Saturday with seasonal variation 7 am - 7 pm
*Tractor Operators must have Mon-Sat availability to account for rain impacting tractor work or when sprays must be scheduled at night.
*This is a FLSA Overtime Exempt Position

Job Duties
Operating Tractors & Mowers:
- Driving tractors safely and efficiently for various tasks.
- Operating attached or towed equipment, such as plows, irrigation machines, seeders, tillers, planters, and harvesters.
- Unloading and loading trucks with front end loader
- Transporting materials and equipment around the farm or construction site.
- Mowing areas as directed, with special care and attention taken to prevent any damage to trees in the orchard.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Performing routine inspections and basic maintenance on tractors and equipment. Discuss repairs with Maintenance Manager
- Ensuring equipment is in good working condition and safe to operate.
- Applying fertilizer, compost, and sprays as needed.
Production/Packing shed:
- Field work, Planting, Harvesting, Greenhouse, Spreading hay, etc
Other Duties:
- Performing Inventory Counts - Materials, Supplies, Bulk Product Bins
- Using farm trucks/vehicles to deliver or pickup materials, products, or supplies
- Adhering to safety regulations and best practices
- Performing other duties as assigned including property clean up, freeze and hurricane preparations
- Recording and reporting data using our digital forms: submitting daily logs, cosecha document, dashboard document
Skill Requirements:
- One year of experience in operating tractors and other agricultural equipment is required.
- Physical strength and endurance, as well as the ability to work indoors, outdoors, in warehouse or greenhouse all seasons
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and use heavy machinery safely, able to get under equipment to visually inspect
- Aptitude of basic mechanical principles and the ability to perform minor repairs
- Safety Awareness and a strong focus on safety and adherence to safety regulations is essential.
- Able to use digital logs to record work and reference assigned tasks (fill out google forms and use Dashboard spreadsheet)
- Ability to accurately follow spray recipes and measure materials
- Communication Skills are important for interacting with supervisors and other team members.
- Ability to clearly communicate and follow up via text
- Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S., Safe driving record, and approved by our insurance company to drive company vehicles
- Self-motivated, ability to work both with and without direct supervision

The ideal candidate for this job will be detail-oriented, will be self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong follow through and enjoy communicating with team members to follow up on any issues.
The first day on-site for any position will be an orientation day with the goals of food safety training, orientation, cleaning/organizing, and introduction to our system. For this work-trade, short day, we will compensate with an abundant box of produce, eggs, meat, and/or value added items.If the applicant chooses to proceed with training, the next 20 business days of work for this position will be paid at $17.00/hr training rate.
Following this training period, a review is scheduled to evaluate skills and proficiency. Each 6-12 months the applicant can then request a review and advancement in both responsibilities and wages.
Our farm produces healthy food for individuals at farmers markets, grocery stores, and the best restaurants throughout Northern and Central Florida. This position is primarily intended to provide tractor operations including ground work, cultivation, planting, mowing, and spraying. In order to fulfill a full time schedule, the position may also have work that supports our production goals such as planting, irrigating, and hand harvesting. The ideal candidate for this job will have an understanding of the manual and mechanical functions required for specialty crop production in Florida, and be able to support our production team in both areas. This job requires a good amount of stooping, bending, lifting, and physical labor to properly use and maintain equipment. Applicants must be physically fit, and should have a high attention to detail and be able to adapt easily to variances.
