Night Shift Production Lead

Job Description:

The Night Shift Production Lead oversees all production activities during the night shift, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and workflow efficiency. This role coordinates team members, monitors equipment and processes, resolves issues that arise during production, and ensures shift goals are achieved. The Production Lead serves as the primary point of contact for night-shift operations and helps maintain smooth communication between shifts. This is a hands-on position and will require production work each shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate, and monitor production activities to meet daily targets.
• Adjust staffing or machine assignments as needed to meet workflow demands.

Quality Control

• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
• Perform regular quality checks and address defects or issues immediately.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Report safety concerns, incidents, and near-misses promptly.
• Promote and model safe work behavior for all team members.

Team Leadership

• Provide guidance, training, and support to production employees on the night shift.
• Address minor performance issues and escalate when necessary.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Coordinate with maintenance for urgent repairs or routine servicing.
• Communicate clearly with the incoming shift and management.
