Froelich Engineers, Inc. is seeking a full-time, in-person civil designer with zero to two (0 - 2) years of experience for our Portland office.

As a Civil Site Designer, you will play a key role in the planning and design of site development projects. You will work under the supervision of licensed professional engineers while gaining hands-on experience in grading, site layout, stormwater management, and utilities. This is an excellent opportunity for emerging engineers seeking to develop their skills and knowledge in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Prepare site layout and grading plans for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments

·       Design stormwater systems including detention, conveyance, and water quality facilities

·       Design and coordinate water, sanitary sewer, and storm utility systems

·       Develop civil construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D

·       Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, landscape architects, and public agencies

·       Assist with permit submittals and respond to jurisdictional review comments

·       Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical design discussions

·       Conduct site visits during construction and assist with construction administration

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering

·       New college graduates and applicants with up to two (2) years of experience in civil design

·       EIT (Engineer in Training) certification (or results pending)

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

·       Positive and professional attitude

·       Self-motivated with a desire to learn

·       Experience with civil design software and AutoCAD C3D is a plus

Compensation, Benefits, Opportunities

·       Competitive Salary based on experience and qualifications: $65,000 to $75,000 a year
