LEAD DELI WORKER QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift 60 lbs.
- Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform simple math calculations
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Schedule flexibility for working evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Additional Criteria (not required):
- ServSafe certification
- High school degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Team spirit and strong collaboration/interpersonal skills
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Our Lead Deli Worker oversees the vital aspects of our deli - including product freshness, scheduling, and order fulfillment - to keep customers happy and the day-to-day running smoothly. You'll tackle a wide variety of responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
- Professionally interacting with customers, informing them about our products, and accurately preparing/wrapping/bagging ordered items
- Handing out samples and recommending additional products to increase sales
- Making sure all activities (yours and your team's) comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- Cashing out customers and using our point-of-sale system
- Coaching team members, providing training as needed, and sending people home when we're over-staffed
- Rotating products to maximize freshness and minimize food waste
- Cleaning, dusting, and organizing the merchandise and displays
- Preparing special orders and party trays
- Providing amazing customer service and jumping in to help other team members wherever needed
