Registered Nurse – Cancer Clinic (RN)
What You’ll Do
As a Registered Nurse in the Cancer Clinic, you’ll provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting while supporting patients through every stage of their treatment journey.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
• Build ongoing relationships with patients by bridging episodic care across long-term outpatient treatment.
• Conduct telephone triage to assess patient needs and direct them to the appropriate level of care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Administer medications and immunizations safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and facilitate diagnostic testing and ensure timely follow-through on care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and evaluate responses to treatments and interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team in a variety of emotional and clinical situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation while adhering to clinical standards and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Current RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin
• Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Pay
• $31.00 – $49.50 per hour, based on experience
