Standard Hours: 24.00
Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details: Varying start times from 0600 to 0800. The ASC is open Monday through Friday. Holidays: none Weekends: none Candidate should have at least 1 year GI experience.
Job Summary:
Assists nurses and physicians with general endoscopic procedures and related services. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
One year experience working in a patient care setting is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technician or EMT education program is required. In lieu of education; two years experience as a GI Technician will be accepted.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Good interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize, concentrate and pay close attention to details.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
State Licensing is required for those that complete the CNA or EMT program. Completion of Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
