Fritz & Hawley Guild Opticians is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to join our growing practice serving New Haven and Hamden, Connecticut.
We are a 125-year-old optical boutique combining modern technology with a highly personalized patient experience. With strong and increasing demand for eye exams, we are expanding our in-person exam services and looking for the right OD to help build and grow with us.
We’re specifically looking for someone hungry to build a practice, who values flexibility, autonomy, and a supportive team environment—without the pressure of a high-volume corporate setting.

Schedule:

Compensation:
- Competitive daily rate ($500–$700/day) based on experience

Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Prescribe glasses and contact lenses
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient records
- Collaborate with the optical team to deliver a seamless patient experience
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Active Connecticut license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Growth mindset and patient-first approach
