Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process shipments efficiently using RF scanners and pallet jacks to ensure accurate inventory control.
- Stock shelves, produce sections, and storage areas with fresh merchandise while maintaining proper merchandising standards.
- Conduct regular inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely to load and unload heavy items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, stockroom, and sales floor to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring timely processing of outgoing and incoming goods.
- Support customer service efforts by providing product information, assisting with stocking needs, and ensuring the sales floor remains tidy and inviting.
- Collaborate with team members on merchandising projects, packaging products for sale or shipment, and supporting retail sales initiatives.
- Communicate effectively across departments in multiple languages if applicable to enhance team coordination.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues promptly to ensure operational safety.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or retail stocking background preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, RF scanners, or warehouse equipment such as forklifts is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail to manage stock levels accurately.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse team environments.
- Experience working in grocery stores or retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
