Under general supervision, perform general maintenance and replace filters throughout the district. Assist with the maintenance of HVAC equipment.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:High School Diploma/GEDValid Texas Driver License and driving record that is insurable with FISD insurance carrier Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructionsKnowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair proceduresAbility to communicate effectively (verbally)Ability to use hand and power toolsAbility to work independently Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in general building maintenance
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Assist skilled workers with repair and maintenance of district facilities, including repairing HVAC and motors; repairing, and replacing filter grills and condensate leaks and replacing ceiling tiles. Perform maintenance on HVAC equipment.Operate light truck to transport filters and HVAC equipment throughout district.Operate equipment and use tools following established safety procedures.Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.Correct unsafe conditions in the area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.Maintain tools and equipment and perform preventive maintenance as required.
