Frisco Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking a hardworking Housekeeper to be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors in a licensed Assisted Living Facility (ALF). This role supports infection control, resident comfort, and compliance with Texas HHSC regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Clean and sanitize resident apartments/rooms, including:
o Bathrooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, and living areas
· Clean common areas such as hallways, dining rooms, activity rooms, offices, and restrooms
· Perform routine housekeeping duties:
o Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and surface disinfection
· Follow infection control procedures in accordance with Texas regulations
· Handle and dispose of biohazard materials and waste properly
· Perform laundry services for residents and facility linens (if applicable)
· Ensure cleaning chemicals are labeled, stored, and used safely per regulations
· Maintain housekeeping equipment in safe working condition
· Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unsanitary conditions immediately
· Respect resident privacy, dignity, and personal belongings
· Follow cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks daily
Regulatory & Compliance Duties:
· Comply with Texas Administrative Code (26 TAC Chapter 553/260) for assisted living facilities
· Adhere to HHSC sanitation, safety, and infection control standards
· Follow OSHA guidelines for chemical safety and hazard communication
· Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
· Participate in required training and in-services (infection control, safety, emergency procedures)

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, hospitality, or long-term care preferred
· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
· Must pass background check per Texas regulations

· Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
· Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30–50 lbs.
· Frequent use of hands for cleaning and equipment operation

Work Environment:
· Licensed Assisted Living Facility regulated by Texas Health and Human Services Commission
· Exposure to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
· May work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
