- Operate POS system (Toast) sales transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and receipt processing
- Provide friendly customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions, and upselling items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling, bussing tables, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Manage inventory levels by restocking deli products, monitoring expiration dates, and notifying management of supply needs
- Uphold food safety regulations by practicing proper food handling techniques and sanitation procedures in accordance with health standards
- Support the team in quick service operations at a busy grocery or retail store environment, contributing to efficient food preparation and service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, culinary arts, or food service roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast for sales processing and cashiering tasks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
