General Manager/Managing Partner Opportunity

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Managing Partner / General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our restaurant franchise. This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced restaurant professional who is ready to take ownership of the business’s performance. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of General Manager experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to build teams, deliver exceptional guest experiences, control costs, and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including opening, closing, staffing, service, and food quality
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing restaurant team
• Recruit, train, and retain employees while creating a positive and accountable workplace culture
• Ensure excellent food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience
• Manage labor, food costs, inventory, waste, and operating expenses
• Monitor sales and financial performance and take action to improve results
• Create and manage employee schedules based on business needs
• Ensure compliance with franchise standards, health regulations, and company policies
• Handle customer concerns professionally and effectively
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and the local community
• Work closely with ownership on business planning, marketing, and growth initiatives
• Develop future managers and build a strong leadership team
• Lead by example and remain actively involved in daily restaurant operations

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as a restaurant General Manager
• Ability to execute Frisch's Big Boy recipes, specs and new product rollouts
• Serv Safe Level 2 certified. If not certified, will be required within 30 days of hire date.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, labor management, inventory, and food costs
• Experience managing to sales and profitability goals
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and a hands-on management style
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Franchise restaurant experience is a plus
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Managing Partner Opportunity

For the right individual, this is more than a General Manager position. We are looking for someone who wants to think and operate like an owner. The Managing Partner will have significant responsibility for the restaurant’s performance and will have the opportunity to earn additional compensation based on measurable business results.

Compensation includes:

• Competitive base salary
• Profit-sharing or Managing Partner incentive equal to 10% of net profit paid out monthly
• Health insurance
• Paid time off
• Potential to own the business
