Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and efficiently managing bar operations. This role requires a strong knowledge of food and beverage service, POS systems, and a passion for the hospitality industry. Experience in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings is preferred, along with a solid understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service. The Bartender will be instrumental in ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with company standards and legal requirements
- Use POS systems such as TOAST to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for transactions
- Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, answer questions about menu items, and promote specials or promotions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest behavior and adhering to all licensing laws
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service during events such as banquets or catering functions
- Assist in setting up for special events like nightclubs or private parties when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in restaurant, nightclub, banquet, or food service environments
- Knowledge of POS systems including TOAST preferred
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and sales transactions
- Familiarity with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Experience in fine dining, catering, or retail math is advantageous
- Previous experience serving in nightclubs or banquet settings is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years old (or age required by local laws) with proper food handling certifications if applicable
