Job Description
Friesen’s Inc is hiring a highly skilled CNC Operator III / Machinist to lead advanced machining operations with confidence and precision. This role involves setting up programming (Bob CAD or conversational) and operating multiple CNC machines while collaborating with engineering and production teams to improve processes. You’ll interpret complex blueprints, perform high-tolerance machining, and conduct quality checks using precision tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to multitask and set up multiple machines at once.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to continuously improve processes and procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to manufacture complex parts
- Mentoring and training less experienced CNC operators
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary off sets to ensure accurate and efficient machining
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure that parts meet required specifications and tolerances
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machines, tooling, and materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of experience in CNC machining both with operation and set up procedures
- Skillfully operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines
- Program CNC machines using Bob CAD or conversational programming methods
- Set up and adjust CNC machines for different production runs
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints
- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation (experience with CNC lathe and milling machines a plus)
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
