Friendship is looking for a Unit Support Certified Nurse Aide to join our Friendship Health and Rehab South team, located in Roanoke, VA. The Unit Support CNA is responsible for assisting in coordination of resident care by providing administrative/clerical support to a nursing unit by maintaining lines of communication between service areas and provide each assigned resident services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan and as may be directed by supervisor.
Full Time CNA Sign On Bonus - $2,500 paid out equally over 25 pay periods

The Unit Support CNA is responsible for assisting in coordination of resident care by providing administrative/clerical support to a nursing unit by maintaining lines of communication between service areas and provide each assigned resident services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan and as may be directed by supervisor.
Full Time CNA Sign On Bonus - $2,500 paid out equally over 25 pay periods
Shifts Available:
- 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Obtain vitals and weight for new admissions, schedule bath times and other tasks; prepare Directions of Care (ADL’s)
- Coordinate and assist with resident admissions, transfers and discharges
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries from families, visitors, residents and other staff members
- Schedule doctor’s appointments, arrange resident transportation and ensure resident has any necessary documents for appointments
- File charts on unit to include: lab slips, telephone orders, progress notes, H & P’s, MDS, previous months MARS, RX sheets, ADL and behavior sheets
- Complete paperwork for FHRC admission/readmissions, transfers to hospital/ER, and any other documentation
- Ensure all medical equipment is available on unit for new residents (feeding tube, isolation set-up, oxygen, etc.)
- Order and stock unit supplies, check emergency carts daily, clean dirty equipment and return it to the supply room, check rental equipment; ensure beds, doors and armbands have appropriate and correct resident information
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CNA license or eligible to sit for certification in the state of Virginia required
- Minimum 1 year experience as a CNA
- BLS preferred
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds
