Friendship is looking for a Registered Medication Aide / Activities Assistant to join our Friendship Adult Medical Daycare team, located in Roanoke, VA. The Registered Medication Aide & Activities Assistant will be responsible for dispensing medications per Doctor’s order as well as assist residents with activities.

The Registered Medication Aide & Activities Assistant will be responsible for dispensing medications per Doctor’s order as well as assist residents with activities.
Shifts Available:
- Full Time Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. - No Holidays and No Weekends Required!
- Assist participants with personal care including toileting and bathing
- Participate in development of new and interesting programs based on participant interest
- Maintain accurate records according to licensure regulations
- Comply with all requirements set forth in the individual participant care plan
- Participate in maintain an accurate care plan
- Assist with ambulation, sitting, standing with or without the use of medical equipment and toileting
- Measure and record vital signs, height and weight as required
- Lead small and large activities programs that encourage and promote independence and well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe activity area
- High School Diploma or GED required
- RMA license in the state of Virginia required
- Adult First Aid/CPR and AED
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Must have knowledge of and an interest in geriatrics; and must have a good understanding of medical terminology
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds
