Friendship is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our growing team in both Roanoke and Salem, VA. Our Staff Nurses support the physical and mental health of residents through high-quality clinical care, accurate documentation, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

FT Sign-On Bonus
⭐Skilled Nursing Facility $10,000 bonus — paid out equally over 40 pay periods
⭐Assisted Living $7,500 bonus — paid out equally over 30 pay periods
Available Shifts
FT/ PT 8 or 12-Hour Shifts
- 1st Shift: 6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: 2:45 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.
- 3rd Shift: 10:45 p.m. – 7:45 a.m.
- Day Shift: 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
- Night Shift: 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.
PRN Resource Pool: Work flexible hours at all facilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care, including medication administration
- Complete timely and accurate electronic health documentation (EHR)
- Manage admission, transfer, and discharge documentation
- Update and maintain care plans and routine charting per facility policies
- Report changes in condition to the Nurse Supervisor
- Collaborate with physicians regarding resident care, treatment, and rehabilitation
- Review and follow treatment plans, medication orders, diets, and care directives
- Ensure adequate medical supplies and equipment are available on each shift
- Support the safe operation of all nursing service equipment
Qualifications
- Unencumbered RN or LPN license in Virginia (or eligible to sit for boards)
- BLS required (ACLS preferred)
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift/move 50 lbs routinely
