Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, flexibility required of after hour trainings as needed.

Education level: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
The Learning and Outreach department is looking for a training specialist that is eager to train all new FCC employees as well as current employees! They will cover all departmental trainings. Knowledge of Waiver, Pediatric, Therapy, Behavioral Health, ABA, and ADDT programs is preferred. This position does require after hour trainings as needed.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for enhancing the competencies of individual employees by conducting FCC training events/sessions that will boost employees’ workplace performance in alliance with company's quality standards and core values. Responsible for performing training needs assessments, providing learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions within assigned region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Exhibits knowledge of developments/trends in Developmental and Behavioral Disabilities. Stay current on the latest information and new practices in serving individuals with developmental and behavioral disabilities.

Exhibits knowledge of guidelines regulations, and laws regarding programs/supports for individuals with developmental disabilities/behavioral needs. Stays current on all regulatory changes.

Assures appropriate training required by licensing and accrediting entities is met for each assigned staff member.

Assures all new employees within assigned caseload attend New Employee training within required timelines.

Administers all in-person and virtually presented training, following specific curriculum for all staff within assigned region. Ensuring that evidence of completion is acquired.

Provides written reports weekly to the Director of Learning and Outreach on completed training sessions/attendees, employee coaching provided, and other communications completed for the prior week.

Communicates routinely with supervisor regarding work schedule and needs.

Provides all communications to others with enthusiasm and interest.

Presents all training materials according to FCC standards and expectations.

Assists with the necessary data collection related to the effectiveness of all corporate training initiatives.

Monitors and evaluates employee compliance regarding assigned training courses.

Assures FCC training venue is clean, sanitized, welcoming and set up according to expectations and quality standards prior to each scheduled training.

Assists with various outreach initiatives as assigned.

Attend corporate meetings as assigned.

Attends training/workshops to achieve continuous quality improvements.

The Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as read and discussed in the new employee training must be followed at all times.

Consumers’ progress notes be maintained and completed daily or as needed on the prescribed forms.

Consumers’ records must be maintained weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. All information must be filed in consumers’ records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or three to five years of related experience and/or training in a supervisory or leadership capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Specific knowledge of the field of developmental disabilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental relations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Fundamentals of math such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions and reading charts and graphs as applicable to practical situations. Ability to read financial statements, apply basic financial ratios and reasoning to interpret and project conditions. Ability to design systems to audit information.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to handle information of a confidential nature. Ability to interpret a variety of information and deal with abstract variables. Ability to multi-task.
