Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Hours may vary for scheduled events, travel, and outreach.

Pay: TBD

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in human services, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

 

 

SUMMARY:

The Program Development Coordinator supports the Program Director in planning, coordinating, and enhancing program operations and services. This position helps ensure the program runs smoothly by managing day-to-day details, supporting staff and participants, and assisting with program growth and quality improvement initiatives. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Program Planning & Development

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of program activities and initiatives.

  • Support the development of new projects, services, or program enhancements.

  • Contribute to program manuals, guides, forms, and training materials.

 

 

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Coordinate program schedules, meetings, communications, and events.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and program documentation.

  • Monitor deadlines, deliverables, and milestones to support program goals.

  • Assist with budget tracking, supply ordering, and resource management.

 

 

Staff & Participant Support

  • Provide guidance and assistance to program staff as needed.

  • Help train, mentor, coach and support new employees, volunteers, or program participants.

  • Serve as a point of contact for staff or participants needing program information.

  • This is a safety sensitive position.

 

 

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Collect and organize data for performance measures, outcomes, and quality improvement efforts.

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with organizational policies, funding requirements, and regulatory standards.

  • Help prepare documentation for audits, licensing, or accreditation reviews.

 

 

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Assist in building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.

  • Support outreach activities, events, and promotional efforts.

  • Help manage communications with funders, families, and external partners as needed.

 

 Maintains confidentiality of all information received regarding Friendship Community Care, Inc., Senior Center programs, and clients. Conditions of confidentiality shall be in compliance with Friendship Community Care Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPAA Policies.

QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE: To adhere to the following and comply with all Quality Assurance’s & HIPAA procedures:

The Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as read and discussed in the new employee training must be followed at all times. Consumers’ progress notes be maintained and completed daily or as needed on the prescribed forms. Consumers’ records must be maintained weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.  All information must be filed in consumers’ records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software.

  • Experience in program coordination, nonprofit services, or administrative support preferred.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental relations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
