What are the responsibilities and job description for the VAN DRIVER position at Friendship Community Care, Inc?
Provides quality services to the individuals served by providing the following services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Provides safe transportation · Maintains a valid driver’s license. · Transports Adult Development clients to and from facility. · Fills in as substitute during absentee and vacations to classroom ratios. · Enforces appropriate rules established for van travel and facility. · Reports unusual client behavior both positive and negative to Service Coordinator. · Takes necessary steps in case of emergency to notify appropriate persons. · Keeps accurate records pertaining to vehicle operation such as FTA trip tickets, gas tickets, etc. · Completes daily FCC/DDS and Medicaid required paperwork. · Reports any mechanical problems observed while operating van. Communicates to Immediate Supervisor any deficiencies with First Aid Kit, Fire Extinguisher, and Emergency Road Side Kits. · Completes BIR/Marks Reports and Seizure Reports as needed. · Attends staff meetings and required training. · Stays apprised of Policy and Procedures Manual and adheres to Code of Conduct. · Notifies Immediate Supervisor of any accident in vehicle. · Exhibits knowledge in completing Accident Report forms. · Serves as Driver for participant day trips to various state locations. Driving may be required on as much as a daily basis. Required to undergo periodic driving test and demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a motor vehicle, including passenger vans. Employee may also be required to drive his/her own personal vehicle at times, and maintain adequate liability coverage on any personal vehicle used to transport participants. · This is a safety sensitive position. Maintains confidentiality of all information received regarding Friendship Community Care, Inc. and the clients. Conditions of confidentiality shall be in compliance with Friendship Community Care Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPAA Policies.
