Responsibilities
- Safely deliver hot and cold meals to clients’ homes or designated locations according to scheduled routes.
- Ensure each delivery is completed accurately and on time, maintaining the integrity of the meals.
- Engage with clients respectfully and warmly, providing friendly check-ins and ensuring their safety during visits.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of food items during transportation to uphold health standards.
- Record delivery details meticulously, including any special instructions or client feedback.
- Report any issues or concerns encountered during deliveries to the program coordinator promptly.
- Assist with packing meals and preparing for delivery routes as needed to support efficient service.
- Operate delivery safely following all traffic laws and consideration for weather conditions.
Experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to navigate local routes efficiently using maps or GPS devices.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards diverse populations.
- Prior experience in food service, caregiving, or community outreach is a plus but not required.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and transport meal containers safely.
