Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lessons that promote literacy, math, and social skills.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized environment.
- Engage with children during activities, providing individualized attention to support their developmental needs.
- Help facilitate inclusive learning experiences for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist with classroom setup, materials preparation, and cleanup to ensure a smooth daily routine.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education.
- Experience with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement.
- Knowledge of curriculum development including literacy education, math concepts, and Montessori or other pedagogical approaches.
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with autism or disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers clearly and empathetically.

- Must have completed 40 hours of Florida State Childcare Training or be in the process of completing it
- CDA (Child Development Associate) is a plus
Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
