- Friends of the Animals in Tipton, Iowa is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Animal Caretaker to join our team! If you love animals and aren’t afraid of some hard work, this could be the perfect job for you.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily care of shelter animals (feeding, cleaning, enrichment, exercise)
- Maintaining clean and safe kennels, cat rooms, and common areas
- Assisting with adoptions and interacting with the public in a friendly, professional manner
- Monitoring animal health and behavior and reporting concerns to staff
- Performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Comfort working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Ability to handle physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, cleaning, and working on your feet
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Weekend and holiday availability is a plus
- Previous animal care or customer service experience is helpful, but not required—we’re willing to train the right person!
- Part-time position.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
